Yep, CS:GO skins are copyrighted. Valve, the creator of CS:GO, has copyright over the game and everything in it, including all the skins. So while you can buy, sell, and trade skins, you don't technically own them in the 'I can do whatever I want with this' sense. Valve's still the boss!
