They're as similar as any other Pokémon game pair - same core mechanics but different legendary Pokémon and some version-exclusive Pokémon. If you're a collector, you'll end up wanting both anyway.

Nope, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet aren't exactly the same game. Think of them as siblings rather than twins. While they share the same open-world RPG gameplay and setting in the Paldea region, each has its unique Legendary Pokémon - Koraidon in Scarlet and Miraidon in Violet. Plus, there are different Pokémon available in each version, encouraging trades between players for the full Pokédex experience!

Basically the same but not really. Scarlet has Koraidon, Violet has Miraidon. Choose based on which legendary you like more!
