Nope, can't change it, not really. The game locks the true FOV for fairness. You can play around with your weapon's viewmodel or get a wider monitor for a pseudo FOV increase, but that's about it.

Yup, you can change your FOV in CS:GO, but it's a bit limited. You can't tweak it through the regular game settings, but you can adjust your viewmodel FOV, which changes how much of your gun and arms you see on-screen. To do this, pop open your console (~ key) and use the command 'viewmodel_fov', then add a number. The default is 60, but you can crank it up to 68 for a slightly wider view. Just remember, this doesn't change your actual field of view like in some other games, it's all about that gun model.

Yeah, tweaking the viewmodel FOV is the closest you get to changing FOV in CS:GO. It makes a difference in how the game feels. Cranking mine to 68 made my game feel a bit more 'open', even if it's just cosmetic.
