Yep, Greninja is gettable in Pokemon Violet, but not directly. Gotta use Pokemon HOME for a transfer shindig from an older game. So no catching him in the wild in Paldea, sadly.

Nope, you can't catch Greninja roaming in the wilds of the Paldea region. It's transfer time if you want him!

Yes, you can get Greninja in Pokemon Violet! You'll need to transfer it through Pokemon HOME from previous games where Greninja was available. This means you first have to catch Greninja in an older game, then move it to Pokemon HOME, and from there to your Pokemon Violet game.
