Absolutely, you can rename your Pokemon in Pokemon Violet! When you catch a new Pokemon, you get the option to give it a nickname right away. But if you missed that chance or want to change it later, just head over to any Pokemon Center. Look for the NPC who's known as the Name Rater. He'll help you rename any of your Pokemon, as long as it's not a Pokemon you've gotten from a trade.

Heads up, you can’t rename Pokemon you get from trades. Tried it with a Pokemon my friend sent over and no dice. But for the ones you catch yourself? Rename away!
