Do I need both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Nah, you don't *need* both unless you're a die-hard fan aiming for a complete Pokédex or you just gotta have all the exclusive Pokémon and differences each game offers. Each version has unique Pokémon and story elements, but the core gameplay experience is pretty similar. So, if budget's a concern or you're not TOO into catching 'em all, just pick the one with the legendary or version-exclusive Pokémon you like most!

I got both, best decision ever! You definitely don't NEED both, but having them lets you experience all the unique aspects and exclusives each game has to offer. Plus, it makes trading for those version-specific Pokémon a breeze since you can do it yourself.

Just get one. Seriously, unless you have no other games to play or you're planning on being the ultimate Pokémon master, one is enough. Both games offer a vast open-world experience and hours of gameplay. The differences aren't game-changing.
