Nah, you don't NEED a subscription to play Fallout 76. It's totally optional. The base game gives you plenty to do without shelling out extra cash. But yeah, if you're hardcore into it, Fallout 1st can make your life in Appalachia a bit comfier.

Yep, Fallout 76 does have a subscription option. It's called Fallout 1st. Subscribers get some nice perks like a private world for you and up to seven friends, a Scrapbox for unlimited junk storage, a Survival Tent that acts as a placeable fast travel point, plus free atoms (in-game currency) every month to spend in the shop.

Fallout 1st is the way to go if you're a serious player. I've been a subscriber since it launched, and the quality of life improvements are worth it. The Scrapbox alone is a game changer. Plus, having your own world means no more fighting over resources or spots to launch nukes. Highly recommend if you're deep into the game.
