You can't catch Mewtwo in the wild in Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet. However, you can get Mewtwo by transferring it from previous games through the Pokemon HOME app. Make sure you have a subscription to Pokemon HOME, and you'll be able to move Mewtwo from compatible games into your Pokemon Violet version.

Mewtwo isn't natively available in Pokemon Violet or Scarlet, sadly. It’s a bummer, but hey, trading and transferring are your best friends here. Use Pokemon HOME to bring over that powerhouse from another game.
