Evolving Porygon in Pokemon Violet is just like the old days but with a twist! First, you need an Up-Grade item. Give that to Porygon to hold. Then, you gotta trade Porygon with a friend. Once the trade is done, voila! Porygon evolves into Porygon2. For the next evolution into Porygon-Z, you'll need a Dubious Disc, have Porygon2 hold it, and trade it again. Make sure your friend is cool with trading back unless you want to bid farewell to your digital duck.
