To snag a Greninja in Pokemon Violet, you're gonna need to trade for it. Greninja isn't catchable in the wild in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. So, you'll need to find someone willing to trade with you. A good place to look is online forums or communities where trainers hang out!

Greninja can't be caught in Pokemon Violet, period. You've got to trade to get it. I traded one with my buddy last week!
