How does wear work in CS:GO?
Best answer
AlexTheStrategist
Wear in CS:GO refers to 'weapon skins,' and it determines the appearance of your weapons. There are five levels of wear that affect how new or used a skin looks, ranging from 'Factory New' to 'Battle-Scarred.' The wear level doesn't affect the weapon's performance, just its cosmetics. The rarer the skin and the better the condition, the more it's usually worth!

It's basically about how shiny or beaten up your gun looks. Factory New is the way to go if you want your gear looking spotless; Battle-Scarred if you're into that veteran look.

Honestly, wear is just visual. Doesn't make your gun shoot any faster or your knife cut deeper. Just for showing off!
