To jump into competitive CS:GO, you first need to reach Private Rank 2 by playing any of the game modes like Deathmatch, Arms Race, etc. This is pretty quick, maybe a few hours of play. After that, to get your first competitive ranking, you gotta play and win 10 competitive matches, but there's a catch! Valve limits you to winning only 2 matches per day until you get your rank, so it'll take at least 5 days to get ranked.
