In Pokemon Violet, 'aiming' is really just about looking at the Pokemon or item you want to interact with. There's no reticle or crosshair. Just walk towards what you're interested in, and if you're close enough and facing it, pressing the appropriate button should do the trick!

Honestly, you don't really 'aim' in Pokemon Violet like you do in shooter games. It's not that complicated, just face toward the Pokemon and you're good to go.
