Backwards jumping isn't a direct move you can do in Pokémon Violet or Scarlet. But, you can kinda mimic the action by running in one direction and then quickly switching to the opposite direction. It's more of a quick pivot than an actual backflip, but hey, it gives that backward jump-ish vibe in battles or while exploring!

Nope, can't do it. Pokémon don't do backflips. Would be cool though!

Tried a million times to make my character do a backflip or something like a backwards jump in Pokémon Violet. Ended up realizing it's not a feature, but with enough speed and sudden direction changes, it looks pretty close. Kinda like a quick dance move!
