How to breed in Pokémon Violet and Scarlet

Breeding in Pokémon Violet and Scarlet is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. First up, you're gonna want to head to the Pokémon Nursery, which you can find in the Paldea region. Make sure the two Pokémon you're looking to breed are compatible, typically meaning they need to be of opposite genders and within the same Egg Group. Leave them at the Nursery, and after some adventuring, you'll come back to find an Egg! Patience is key; it won't happen instantaneously, but it's always exciting to see what you'll get.

Actually, you can't breed Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet like before. These games ditched the old breeding mechanic for something new called 'Picnics'. So, to 'breed', you have to hold a picnic, and if you have a Pokémon with the Egg Power ability, it increases your chances of finding an egg at the picnic spot. Make sure your Pokémon team is well-rounded and includes one with this ability to maximize your egg-finding success.

Nope, breeding's out. Picnics are in. Simple as that.
