Catching Tandemaus in Pokemon Violet is pretty straightforward but does require a bit of patience! First off, Tandemaus spawns in grassy areas, so you'll want to start there. Wander around regions with tall grass, especially near the beginning areas, as it's known to pop up there more frequently. Don't rush; take your time walking instead of running to not scare it away. And of course, have a bunch of Pokeballs ready to throw as soon as you encounter it!

Pro tip: Tandemaus loves hanging out near farms and fields in the game. I spent hours looking in the wrong spots, but once I headed to the areas that looked more like farmland, I found Tandemaus pretty quickly. Also, don't bother at night; seems like it's more of a daytime Pokémon in my experience.
