Changing a nickname in Pokemon Violet is pretty straightforward. First, you'll need to head over to any Pokemon Center in the game. Look for the NPC (Non-Player Character) who's known as the Name Rater. This character allows you to rename your Pokémon, as long as it's one you've caught yourself. If it's a traded Pokemon, you're out of luck unless it hasn't been nicknamed yet. Just talk to the Name Rater, choose the Pokemon whose name you want to change, and voila, you can give it a new nickname!
