Honestly, I think sticking with the original Tera Type adds to the authenticity of the game. Why change what's already perfect?

After you save the day, head over to the 'medal guy' in the city, who's actually named Director Clavell. Chat him up, and he'll introduce you to the 'Tera Raid Battles.' Here's where it gets good: participate in these Tera Raid Battles to earn Tera Shards. You'll need these shards, specific to the type you want to change your Pokémon's Tera Type to. Once you've collected enough of these shards, bring them back to good ol' Clavell, and boom, he'll change your Pokémon's Tera Type. Remember, though, each Pokémon has its Tera Type pool, so no making a Pikachu a Water type!
