Doing a trade-up contract in CS:GO is like making a calculated gamble with your skins. First thing's gotta have 10 skins of the same rarity level. Make sure these skins are from collections that contain items you actually want in the next rarity tier. Then, hit up your inventory, click on the 'Trade Up Contract' in the game, and then select the 10 skins you've chosen. Sign the contract in-game (literally just use your mouse to scribble) and voila, you get one random skin from the next highest rarity tier.
