Honestly, just luck. People say certain spots, but Ditto is all over. Caught mine totally by accident lol.

Easiest way? Just wander around anywhere with lots of Pokémon. Dittos are sneaky and could be any Pokémon you see. If it looks funny or out of place, throw a Pokéball at it!
