How to fix CS:GO connecting to network issues

FirewallFred
Firewall could be blocking your connection. Make sure CS:GO is allowed through your firewall settings. Also, could be an antivirus thing. Disable it briefly to check if that's the problem (but don't forget to turn it back on).

Restart your router and PC first - classic IT move but it works wonders most times. If that doesn't do the trick, check if Steam is down because if Steam's servers are toast, so is your CS:GO connection. Last resort, verify your game files in Steam (right-click CS:GO > Properties > Local Files tab > Verify integrity of game files). Helps if something got corrupted.

ISP issues? Sometimes ISPs block certain types of traffic and might be messing with your CS:GO connection. A VPN could help, but make sure it's a good one cause bad VPNs just add to the lag.
