Major drops in CS:GO usually happen during Major Championships. All you gotta do is watch the live matches on Twitch or through the in-game viewer with your Steam account linked. Make sure your accounts are linked or no drops for you! It's part luck, part just enjoying the game. Occasionally, you might need to also have a Prime Status, but that depends on the event specifics.

Just watch the Majors, seriously. Link your Steam to Twitch and keep the stream on, even if you're not glued to the screen. Drops happen randomly to viewers during the event. Don't listen to anyone saying you need to do anything crazy. It's all RNG, baby.

Honestly, the major drop system is overhyped. Just play the game and buy the skins you like. Watching hours for a tiny chance at a drop isn't worth it IMO.
