Easy! Look at the gameplay, graphics, and unique features. Violet's open world is huge and the graphics are a real step up from previous gens. Plus, the storyline and the exclusive Legendary Miraidon give it a fresh vibe. Honestly, all you gotta do is compare it to Scarlet. They're pretty similar, but Violet has Miraidon and some exclusive Pokemon Scarlet doesn't. Choose based on which Legendary you like more. Or get both if you can't decide!
