How to local trade in Pokémon Violet

Oh, trading locally in Pokémon Violet is super easy and fun, just like trading Pokémon cards back in the day, but with less paper cuts! First, make sure both you and your friend's Nintendo Switch consoles are nearby each other. Then, both of you need to fire up your Pokémon Violet (or Scarlet, if you're trading across versions) and open the Y-Comm by pressing the Y button. Choose 'Link Trade' and then 'Start trading'. You don't even need an internet connection, just some good old local wireless magic, and you're set to trade all the Pokémon you want!

Local trading? Easiest thing ever. My sister and I trade Pokémon all the time in Violet without any hassle. Just get your consoles close, open Y-Comm, and select 'Link Trade'. No internet needed. It’s like the game wants us to keep catching 'em all with friends. Super chill.

Just use the Y-Comm, it's not rocket science. Local wireless, and bam, you're trading.
