Ever wondered how to step into the mysterious Nether realm in Minecraft? Let’s dive into how you can create the gateway that leads to this unique dimension.

Creating a Nether portal in Minecraft is your ticket to an adventure in the Nether realm. Let’s break down how to build this magical doorway.

Short Answer: Building the Nether Portal

To make a Nether portal, you need 10 to 14 blocks of obsidian. First, build a standing rectangle, four blocks high and five blocks wide, then activate it with flint and steel.

Obsidian, a tough block, is key for constructing your portal frame. You can obtain obsidian by pouring water over lava and then mining it with a diamond or netherite pickaxe. Once your rectangular frame is ready, simply use flint and steel on the inside of the frame to open the portal to the Nether.
