Sneaking up on Pokémon in Pokémon Violet is all about being sneaky and slow. Use the left joystick to move your character slowly towards the Pokémon. If you rush, they'll notice and bolt! Plus, if you're in tall grass, it's easier to get closer without being spotted. Patience is key!

I've found that turning off the high grass animation in the settings makes it easier to sneak up on Pokémon. Not sure why, but it feels like they see you less. Also, night time in-game seems to make sneaking easier!

Sneaking? Why bother? Just upgrade your bike for speed and catch 'em by surprise! Sprinting has worked better for me than tiptoeing around.
