He's the head of the Institute, a group with some questionable methods, sure, but his actions are driven by a belief in science and humanity's future. Evil? Nah. Misguided? Probably. Shaun truly believes in the Institute's cause. He's not twirling a mustache and laughing at the chaos. More like a guy who's got a very, very different vision for tomorrow.
