Not every 1st edition card is shadowless. Only the early ones are. The rest have shadows. Simple as that.

Nope, not all 1st edition Pokemon cards are shadowless. The shadowless cards are actually part of the very early print runs of the Pokemon TCG. After those initial runs, the cards started to have a shadow on the right side of the image box, which distinguishes them from the shadowless ones. So, if you get your hands on a 1st edition card, it might be shadowless if it's from those early batches!

Here's the deal - Shadowless 1st edition cards are like unicorns. Rare and magical, but not every 1st ed card is without its shadow. Only the first printings are truly shadowless, which makes them extra special to collectors.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
