Actually Fallen Empires ARE Alpha and Beta, because every old card is precious. Just kidding! They're a completely separate set that came out after Alpha and Beta. But hey, in the heart of a collector, every set has its alpha status, right?

Fallen Empires, alphas or betas? Nah, they're their own thing. Think of them more like the quirky cousins of the MTG family who showed up to the party a bit later.

Nope, Fallen Empires cards are neither Alpha nor Beta. They're actually from a later set! Alpha and Beta were the first two print runs of the original Magic: The Gathering set, way back in 1993. Fallen Empires came out a bit after, in November 1994, and introduced a bunch of new mechanics and themes focused around several warring factions. So, they have their own unique place in the MTG history!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
