Japanese cards are not inherently better. While they might release earlier and sometimes have unique artwork, the gameplay is the same. Plus, if you're planning to play in tournaments outside Japan, you'll need English cards. It's all about your personal preference and collection goals.

Totally depends on what you mean by 'better'! If we're talking about quality, some collectors believe that Japanese Pokemon cards tend to have a higher print quality and better cardstock, making them a bit more desirable for those looking to keep their cards in pristine condition. Also, Japanese cards often get cool artworks and promos ahead of the English versions!

Honestly, no. It's all hype. People like them because they seem exotic, but gameplay-wise, they offer no advantage.

Japanese cards for the win because of the art. Period.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
