Are Split Cards Multicolored in MTG?
DepetallingMummy路7 months agoActually, split cards only count as multicolored when they're on the stack being cast. Otherwise, they're treated as having the colors of both halves at all times. So, yes and no, but mostly yes?

Yep, split cards are indeed multicolored in MTG. Each half of a split card has its own color, and together, they make the card multicolored. It's all about the combo of colors on each side, so if one side is blue and the other is red, the whole card is considered both blue and red. Makes for some fun deck building strategy!
Nope. They're just fancy at being two cards in one. But seriously, they are multicolored. Each side's color identity adds up to make the whole card multicolored.
