Are Summoning Tokens Considered Spells in MTG?
Nope, summoning tokens aren't considered spells in Magic The Gathering. They're created by the effects of spells or abilities already on the stack or in play, but they don’t use the stack themselves, so counterspells can't touch 'em!

Tokens are not spells. They directly enter the battlefield through effects or abilities, bypassing the casting process that actual spells go through.
In my experience, no. Playing a lot of MTG, I've seen tokens pop up due to other cards' abilities but you can't counter them like spells because they aren't cast.
