Are walls effective as defense in Fallout 4?
CarryingMonte路7 months agoYup, walls can totally help with defense in Fallout 4. They can keep out all sorts of unwanted guests like raiders and those pesky mutants. Just remember, it's not just about plopping down walls everywhere. You gotta think strategically about placement and coverage to make your settlement a fortress.

Nah, don't bother with walls. Sure, they look cool and can give you a sense of security, but when it comes down to it, enemies can spawn inside your base due to the game's mechanics. Invest in turrets and traps for real security.
I built walls around all my settlements and it totally changed the game for me. Before, I'd be constantly attacked, but now, I can chill and focus on scavenging and crafting. Plus, it adds to the whole 'rebuilding civilization' vibe.
Walls? More like a nice decoration. They can make your settlements look cool and organized, but for actual defense, you're better off with a solid squad of turrets and some strategically placed mines. That's where the real protection is at.
