Nope, drakes and dragons are different creature types in MTG. While both can fly, dragons are often bigger and have more abilities, like breathing fire. So you can't just evolve a drake into a dragon in the game. But hey, both are cool in their own right!
As a long-time MTG player, I can tell you drakes remain drakes and dragons stay dragons. However, that doesn't stop you from building a deck featuring both! The synergy might not be perfect, but it's fun to play with both creature types.
