Oh yeah, players can definitely be a source in MTG. Whenever a spell, ability, or effect needs something to kickstart it, that 'something' can absolutely be you, the player. This comes into play especially with abilities that target players directly, like dealing damage or causing someone to draw or discard cards. So next time you're slinging spells, remember, you're not just a player, you're a potential magic missile launcher too!

100% yes. Players are sources all the time, especially when you're talking about direct damage or life gain. I hit my buddy for 5 damage just last game, and I was the source, thank you very much.

No way, players as sources? That's stretching it. A player causes effects, sure, but calling them a 'source' sounds off. Creatures, spells, those are your real sources.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
