Unfortunately, the Xbox One controller doesn't work with the Xbox 360 due to software and hardware differences. Gotta stick with the 360 controllers.

I tried using my Xbox One controller on my old 360, and no luck. They don't play nice together. Stick to the 360 controller.

Nope, Xbox One controllers aren't compatible with the Xbox 360. You'll need a 360 controller for that console!
