Absolutely! Just remember if it doesn't say 'tap' as part of the cost, you're good to use it on turn one. Haste is your best friend for everything else.

Nope. Summoning sickness says hi. Gotta wait a turn unless your creature's got haste.

Yes, you can use creature abilities on the first turn in Magic The Gathering, but there's a catch. The creature has to be free from 'summoning sickness,' a rule that prevents creatures from attacking or using tap abilities on the turn they enter the battlefield. However, if the ability doesn't require tapping or if the creature has haste (which negates summoning sickness), go ahead and use that ability right away!

Been playing MTG for years, and it's all about the abilities' fine print. If an ability doesn鈥檛 require tapping, summoning sickness won't stop you from using it. Pulled off many first-turn plays thanks to that little loophole.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
