Absolutely! In Magic The Gathering, freshly created tokens can block just like any other creature, as long as they're not suffering from summoning sickness, or there's no other condition preventing them from blocking. Remember, summoning sickness only affects creatures' ability to attack or use abilities with the tap symbol, not their ability to block!
