Short answer: Yes, but it's just Dogmeat. He's more than enough dog for anyone though! He fights, finds items, and can't be killed - what more could you want in a post-nuclear war buddy?

Absolutely! As soon as you start your adventure in the Commonwealth, you'll find a friendly German Shepherd named Dogmeat by the Red Rocket Truck Stop. Dogmeat isn't just any dog; he's your loyal companion ready to face the post-apocalyptic world by your side. So, while Dogmeat is the main canine companion you can befriend, unfortunately, other dogs you encounter might not be as friendly. Still, having Dogmeat by your side is definitely a highlight!

Nope, just Dogmeat. All the other dogs are either wild or with raiders. But honestly, Dogmeat鈥檚 the only furry friend you'll need.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
