Nope, once you’ve picked your name in Animal Crossing, you’re pretty much stuck with it. That’s your identity in your adorable, animal-filled world. It adds a bit of realism, ya know? Like in real life, you can't just wake up and decide to change your name without going through a lot of paperwork.

Actually, you CAN'T change your name. It's a one-shot deal, so choose wisely!

I wish! But no, your name is your bond with the animals. Once you choose, it's forever.

Sadly, you can't change your character's name after you've set it in the beginning of the game. Learned this the hard way after naming my character 'BurgerQueen' on a whim. Now I'm the monarch of burgers to all my animal subjects.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
