You can't directly gift money on PSN, but you can buy a PlayStation Store gift card and share the code with your friend. Works like a charm!

Nope, you can't send money directly. Just grab a PlayStation Store gift card instead!

From personal experience, I've found that buying a PlayStation Store gift card is the best way to gift someone on PSN. Just send them the code and they're good to go!
