Nope, Xbox Live Silver (now known as Xbox Live Free) only lets you access features like friends, messages, and game demos. For online multiplayer, you need Xbox Live Gold.

Unfortunately, you can't play multiplayer games online with Xbox Live Silver. Only Xbox Live Gold members have access to online multiplayer gaming.
