Oh boy, sounds like you've hit a bit of a snag! First thing's first, make sure you're not trying to add mods or files while the game is running - that's a no-go. If you've got admin rights on your PC, try running the game (or Steam, if that's where you've got it) as an administrator. This usually gives you the green light to mess around with game files. Additionally, double-check that your antivirus isn't being overprotective and blocking your changes. They mean well, but sometimes they gotta chill.

Mods? In my Fallout 4? More likely than you think. But seriously, check if your game's in 'Read-Only' mode. Right-click the folder, go to properties, and make sure 'Read-Only' isn't ticked. Fixed an issue like this for me once.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
