Sure it can, but why bother with Java when Bedrock runs so much smoother on devices like the Steam Deck? Just saying, sometimes newer is actually better.

Absolutely, the Steam Deck can run Minecraft Java Edition! Thanks to its PC-like architecture, you can install Windows on your Steam Deck and then run Minecraft Java Edition just like you would on a traditional PC. It's a bit of a workaround but totally doable for those Minecraft cravings on the go.

Minecraft Java on the Steam Deck? Been there, done that! Installed Windows on mine and it runs Minecraft Java without a hitch. It鈥檚 pretty awesome playing my favorite sandbox game on the go. Just make sure you鈥檙e comfortable with installing a new OS on your device!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
