Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but yeah, the Steam Deck can indeed run Unreal Engine 5. I've been messing around with some UE5 projects on mine, and it handles them pretty well. Sure, it's not the same as a high-end PC, but for something you can hold in your hands? Impressive.

As a dissenting opinion – just because it can, doesn't mean it should. Running Unreal Engine 5 on the Steam Deck is feasible, but expect compromises in performance and graphics compared to a dedicated gaming PC.

Absolutely! The Steam Deck can run Unreal Engine 5. It's a beast when it comes to handling the latest software, thanks to its custom APU developed by AMD. The device is pretty robust, blending the portability of a handheld with the power of a gaming PC. So, if you're looking to develop or run games built with Unreal Engine 5 on the go, the Steam Deck has got you covered.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
