Totally! I've played Minecraft with my buddy who has a Switch while I use my PS4. You need to be on Bedrock Edition and have Microsoft accounts linked.

Nah, it only works if both are on Bedrock Edition.

Yeah, but make sure it's the Bedrock Edition. Java Edition won't work for cross-play.
