Hey there! Xbox Live Silver won't let you play Minecraft online. You need to upgrade to Xbox Live Gold for that.

Nope, you'll need Xbox Live Gold to play Minecraft online. Silver just won't cut it for multiplayer fun.

Tried it myself recently. Xbox Live Silver just doesn't support online multiplayer. Had to go Gold.
