Nope, you can't directly buy wildcards in MTG Arena, but you can get them indirectly. Every time you open a booster pack, you inch closer to earning a wildcard through the game's progress system. Plus, buying packs can also directly give you wildcards because they have a chance to appear in the place of a card of the same rarity in the pack. So, while you can't outright buy them, sinking some coin into packs is the way to go if you're hunting for those precious wildcards.

Short answer: No. Long answer: Still no, but buying booster packs indirectly gets you there. Each pack moved you closer to a guaranteed wildcard.

Actually, it's all about the packs. You can't buy wildcards like a regular item from a store. But, when you buy packs, there's always that thrilling chance of snagging a wildcard or two. It's like a little bonus lottery inside each purchase.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
