Technically, once you hit zero life in MTG, you've lost the game. BUT, there are a few cheeky cards and strategies that can set you up to avoid losing the moment you hit zero. Cards like 'Platinum Angel' which states you can't lose the game and your opponents can't win the game as long as it's on the battlefield. So, if you have that out, you can be at zero or less life and still be in the game - living dangerously, of course!

As a long-time MTG player, I've seen some wild comebacks, but hitting zero life is usually the end. However, I did win a game once where I was at negative life because I had 'Phyrexian Unlife' in play, which says you don't lose the game for having 0 or less life. Instead, you get poison counters. So, it's all about the cards you've got in your deck.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
