You can't delete an Xbox account by itself, but you can close the entire Microsoft account tied to it. Just be aware that you'll lose access to everything else linked to your Microsoft account!

You can't delete an Xbox account directly, but you can remove it from your console and deactivate your Microsoft account linked to Xbox.

Yup, but it's a bit of a process! You'll need to shut down your entire Microsoft account. Go to the Microsoft account website, sign in, and follow the steps to close the account. Just don't forget you'll lose access to emails, OneDrive, and any other Microsoft services.

Nope, you can't just delete it. The best you can do is deactivate your Microsoft account, which takes 60 days to finalize.

I had to delete an Xbox account once, and yep, it's all or nothing with Microsoft. Went through the closure process online and said goodbye to my old gamertag.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company. The logos and other identifying marks attached are trademarks of and owned by each represented company and/or its affiliates. Please visit each company's website for additional terms and conditions.
